Fun Activities for the Kids this Autumn

As the warmer weather is quickly disappearing – it can be difficult to think of fun ways to entertain the kids!  Beach days are soon a thing of the past, and you are wondering how best to fill your days.  We have come up with a list of great activities that you can enjoy this Autumn.

Indoor Trampolining

There are some great indoor UK trampoline parks that provide fantastic entertainment for children and adults alike.  Here you can let the kids free to run around and enjoy some great bouncing equipment like dodgeball and gladiator teams.  As well as the fun factor, you will also be getting some exercise without even knowing it.  If you are stuck for something to do – this can be a fun day out and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg either.

Leaf Picking

The great thing about autumn is that it is arguably one of the most beautiful seasons of the year.  With all the leaves falling from the trees – an activity can be to find the best or more unusual ones and you can then use them for arts and crafts at a later date.  This one could get a little messy – so make sure you have some wellie boots at the ready.

Go on a Nature Hunt

You can see all kinds of animals in the woods and forests in the autumn – and it can be a great education for the kids.  You could make it more fun and create a competition type vibe where you need to find specific animals, bugs or insects on your list and cross them off as you go.  Make sure that you pick animals or insects that you have a chance of finding!

Go Hiking

It may be a little frostier than it would be in the summer, but hiking is a great activity to enjoy in the autumn.  Much like with trampolining it’s a great way to get exercising without thinking about it too much.  There are lots of different hiking trails that you can check out, and there’s a great sense of achievement you can look forward to when you get to the to the top.  When it is autumn, the views are so much nicer.

Enjoy Some Camping

There’s no better way to get in touch with nature, than a camping trip.  You can get yourself some marshmallows to toast, dust off the tent – and get singing along to some campfire songs.  Apart from anything else, it’s also a great way to bond with your family again.  There should be no distractions, no electronics really allowing you to have a great time without the iPads, TV’s and all of those things.

If you are struggling to find activities that will entertain the kids this season – then hopefully our list above will give you some inspiration.
