Kon Tiki Riviera Village, Côte d’Azur

Although we are supposed to be looking at more budget-friendly options the Kon Tiki Riviera village gets a mention simply due to its opulence for what is usually a more budget-friendly option. This is one of three sites run by the same company. This particular area contains cabins which sleep from two to six. Visitors here will need some extra finances though as many of the beaches are private and require an entrance fee to be paid to allow access. Expect to rub shoulders with the more affluent holidaymakers of this region if you happen to visit the beaches. There are plenty of activities for the kids and adults in your group with the grounds containing bars, restaurants and even a circus.

Camping de Ceyreste, Bouches du Rhône

Situated between Marseille and Toulon this campsite is ideal for couples and those with kids. Hidden amongst the areas famous pine forest you will find plenty to do for the nature lovers among you. There are plenty of hiking trails, an infinity pool and of course the beach to distract you and while away your hours with your travel partners. The local market is supposed to be especially popular with visitors due to many local delicacies that are on offer.

Le Clarys Plage, Vendee

For those of you with a younger member of your group then Le Clarys Plage is one of the better options for you as it is designed with the family holidaymakers in mind. Located in the Vendee region of France, the weather and facilities on offer should make your family trip that bit easier. With almost, all the activities in the focused around the pool area of the campsite expect to have a lot of fun on the various slides, the sauna, jacuzzi or indoor pool. This thus combines your relaxation with the fun the kids will surely have.

The region also boasts some stunning nearby beaches which can be reached on foot or by car for those of you who would like an adventure. Expect to find accommodation varying from mobile homes to tents. At night there will be various entertainment provided for the guest which you can easily join in on or simply relax in your accommodation.

Camping Club Mar Estang, Canet Plage

This campsite is for those who want a bit more of a lively atmosphere as it is quite large with a huge range of facilities on offer, including a stunning beach which is only 100 meters distance.  Facilities on site include a tennis court, driving lessons, bike hire and six different swimming pools to choose from.

There are a few different restaurants to choose from onsite but try to leave and have a look around the local town for some cheaper deals and varying food options. With everything provided for you, it might be hard to escape the complex, but you will not be disappointed either by everything that is on offer.

Bot-Conan, Brittany:

For those looking for a slightly more unique style of lodgings, why not try the Safari-style lodges on offer in Bot-Conan, Brittany. A stay in this beautiful location is enough to draw many visitors anyway, but the style of loading on offer is an even bigger draw. The site has six “Archipel” safari lodges set on wooden decks, each containing its own outdoor kitchen. Other lodging included what are described as ‘atoll’ tents with sundecks and BBQ areas. If that is not enough, there is also a private secret beach accessed by a walkway within the campgrounds. As the lodges can sleep up to six this is an ideal destination for a group getaway and for those who wish to see a unique style of camping, although this could easily fall under the now overused phrase of ‘glamping’.
